The starting gun for the new cooperation with the Italian mechanical engineering company A.W.M. s.p.a. was fired in Bitburg last Friday. The latest generation of straightening, shearing and bending machines was presented live at the celebration.

The invited guests were able to get a look at a HEXA 820 Twinbend – a combined straightening, shearing and bending machine equipped with 6 hyperbolic rotors mounted in an overlapping arrangement on a mobile carriage. Through a link to the production program, the machine recognises the requirement for a diameter change and executes it automatically in just a few seconds. The bending mandrel exchange also takes place automatically and quickly which, together with the extremely simple maintenance, makes the machine the most sophisticated straightening, shearing and bending system of its kind. HEXA Twindbend is available in the performance classes 616 for wire diameters from 6 to 16 mm and 820 for diameters from 8 to 20 mm. They are particularly suitable for production lots with frequently changing bar lengths, wire diameters and bending shapes.

Thanks to a very good order situation, our visitors were also able to see a lot of further machines and plants that are currently under construction.
